Instagram has added a new set of custom stickers to celebrate women in tech, science, engineering, and maths as part of Pi Day, which users can add to Stories to take part in the event.
The stickers were designed by artist Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya, and aim to highlight the various achievements of women in science and tech-based disciplines.
In addition to this, Instagram's looking to highlight women doing work in these fields, by encouraging users to follow these profiles to get a better understanding of their efforts in advancing their respective areas.
Egypt-based online food ordering and restaurant aggregator Koinz, on Monday, raised $4.8 million in its seed funding round led by Tinder founder Justin Mateen, with participation from 4DX Ventures and strategic angel investors in Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
The platform is currently active in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, and planning to deploy the capital towards growing its team and fueling expansion across the Middle East.
Google has made two changes to the rich results report in Google Search Console. One of the changes was related to the job posting report and the other change was related to the FAQ and Q&A rich results report.
Google has changed its requirements for the Education, Experience, and ExperienceInPlaceOfEducation properties of job posting structured markup. Google will now start to validate and check the validity of FAQ and Q&A structured data that is below the root entity level. Beforehand, Google only checked the validity of FAQ and Q&A structured data at the root level.
Facebook has announced a range of new monetization options for creators, with a focus on short video clips - which could put more pressure on TikTok, which is still working on its own revenue-share programs.
First off, on short-form video - Facebook has announced that creators will now be able to earn money from videos as short as one minute long, "with a minimally interruptive ad running at 30 seconds".
Google announced it is now opening up free listings within Google Hotel search. There is a new section in Google Hotel search for “all options” that is below the paid results, that shows unpaid listings from hotels and travel companies.
